Module 1 – Florida Responsible Vendor Off-Premises Training Overview
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:
- Correctly define terms relating to the sale or serving of alcohol in the state of Florida.
- Describe the purpose, goals, and rules of Florida’s Responsible Vendor Act and seller-server training and certification.
- State the intent of Florida laws covering the service of alcoholic beverages and the operation of establishments serving alcoholic beverages in the state of Florida.
Module 2 – Florida Laws Regarding Underage Sales
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:
- Determine whether a sale of alcohol is legal or illegal with regards to a minor in any given situation.
- State the codes and rules regarding fake driver’s licenses and IDs.
- Describe methods used to identify fake driver’s licenses and IDs.
- Explain strategies on how to refuse service to a minor when necessary.
Module 3 – Alcohol and Its Effect on the Human Body
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:
- Discuss how alcohol consumption affects the human body, including its impact on a person’s ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- State the codes and rules regarding driving while impaired.
- Describe methods for determining when an individual is or may be in danger of becoming intoxicated.
- Discuss how combining alcohol with drugs affects the human body.
Module 4 – Dealing with Customers and Employees who Use or Traffic in Controlled Substances
When you complete this module you will be able to:
- Correctly state the laws and intent regarding the use or trafficking of controlled substances at your place of business.
- Describe physical signs that might indicate that someone is under the influence of a drug or other controlled substance.
- Understand that the illegal use of or trafficking in controlled substances will result in immediate termination of employment for an employee and ejection from the premises for a customer.
Module 5 – Operation of Establishments Serving Alcoholic Beverages, Right to Refuse Service, and Dram Shop Laws
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:
