Module 1: Seller-Server Training Overview
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:

  • Correctly define terms used in this course.
  • Describe the purpose, goals, and rules for selling-serving training and certification.
  • State the intent of laws concerned with preventing the alcohol sales to minors, intoxicated persons, and non-members of a private club.

Module 2: Alcohol and its Effects on the Human Body
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:

  • Define blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and list factors that affect BAC in individuals.
  • Understand the impact of alcohol on the body.
  • Understand the impact of alcohol on the body when it is with child

Module 3: Minors and Alcohol Sales
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:

  • Given a scenario, state if a sale of alcohol is legal or illegal with regards to minors.
  • Use observations to detect that a minor is attempting to purchase alcohol.
  • Correctly identify if an Identification (ID) is valid and proper for purposes of establishing age.
  • Recall that the possession, use, manufacture, or misuse of an ID is an illegal act.
  • Given a scenario, select appropriate intervention techniques in regards to a minor attempting to purchase alcohol.

Module 4: Intoxicated Persons and Alcohol Sales
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:

  • Describe how seller-servers are responsible for the acts of their customers (Dram Shop Act).
  • Given a scenario, state if a sale of alcohol is legal or illegal with regards to an intoxicated person.
  • Define blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and list factors that affect BAC in individuals.
  • Use observations to detect if a person is intoxicated.
  • Given a scenario, select appropriate intervention techniques for intoxicated persons.

Module 5: Dram Shop Liabilities, Maintaining Documentation, Victom's Rights and Human Trafficking
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following: 

  • Describe how seller-servers are responsible for the acts of their customers.
  • Describe the role and benefits of a Designated Driver.
  • Describe the differences between Civil and Criminal Liability. 
  • Recognize sings of Human Trafficking and Responding to Violence.
  • Understand the proper use of support services.
