After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:

Module 3: Preventing Underage Sales
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:

  • Correctly identify if an ID is valid and proper for purposes of establishing age.

  • Describe how seller-servers are responsible for the acts of their customers (Dram Shop Laws).
  • Determine whether a sale of alcohol is legal or illegal with regards to an intoxicated person in a variety of different situations.
  • Define blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and list factors that affect BAC in individuals.
  • Use observations to detect if a person is intoxicated.
  • Explain strategies on how to refuse service to an intoxicated person when necessary.
