Module 2: Alcohol and its Effect on the Human Body
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:

  • Define blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and list factors that affect BAC in individuals.
  • Understand the impact of alcohol on the body.
  • Understand the impact of alcohol on the body when it is with child.

Module 3: Preventing Alcohol Sales to Underage Persons
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:

  • Determine whether a sale of alcohol is legal or illegal with regards to a minor in any given situation.
  • Use observations to detect when a minor is attempting to purchase alcohol.
  • Correctly identify whether an ID is valid and proper for purposes of establishing age, and
  • Determine appropriate intervention techniques with regards to a minor attempting to purchase alcohol in a variety of situations.

Module 4: Intoxicated Persons and Alcohol Sales
After completing this module, you will be able to do the following:

  • Determine whether a sale of alcohol is legal or illegal with regards to an intoxicated person in a variety of different situations.
  • Define blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and list factors that affect BAC in individuals.
  • Use observations to detect if a person is intoxicated.
  • Determine and apply appropriate intervention techniques for preventing sales to intoxicated persons in a variety of circumstances.
